James Mercer for Mojo Magazine

I have had four goals in my illustration life.
1. Work for the New Yorker
2. Do the full page illustration for the album of the month in Rolling Stone.
3. Do anything for The Word magazine.
4 Do the full page illustration for the album of the month in Mojo magazine.

With this illustration of James Mercer of the Shins, I can now tick off number 4.
The only goal I haven't been able to complete is number 3 and since The Word folded in 2012 it doesn't look likely!
But I do have a new goal, which is:
5. Do anything for 8x8 magazine. have a look if you don't know it. It's such a beautiful publication.

Viv Tufnell for vivtufnell.com.au

Renowned Melbourne cricket writer Pet Zitterschlager commissioned me to create a visual representation of his hilarious character Viv Tufnell.
Tufnell is a cricket player who never made it beyond mediocrity and he knows just who to blame for that, everyone but himself!

Here we see Viv as he currently looks and below when he sported the full moustache which was once de rigueur for all Aussie cricketers.

Please read about Viv's pathetic and hilarious antics at http://www.vivtufnell.com.au/index.html
